WNC-B01 Gothic Prayer Bracelet

For Christians, as for those of Buddhist, Hindu and Islamic faiths traditions, the practice of using beads as an aid to prayer or meditation has a long history. This prayer bracelet was created in honor of past centuries of devotion by people of faith in celebration of the return to practices of praying with beads. The form of the rosary and praying with beads is based on the Marian Rosary, said to have been handed to St. Dominic by an apparition of the Virgin Mary in the church of Prouille in the year 1214. The motifs on the prayer beads are taken from Gothic architecture. Each prayer bracelet is accompanied by a curatorial card.
