WNC-R09-"Peace" *Spinning Ring in different languages

The dove is a symbol of the Holy Spirit. This spiritual motif is incorporated through out Washington National Cathedral in its art and architecture.  The dove is especially prominent in the Cathedral's loveliest chapel: the Holy Spirit Chapel. Ity is here that seven doves decorate the alter symbolizing the seven gifts of the Holy Spirit: wisdom, understanding, counsel, strength, knowledge, godliness and holy fear.

 

Cynthia Gale created a meaningful jewelry collection which spreads the important message of peace. Through combining a dove motif ffrom the Holy Spirit Chapel with Washington National Cathedral's dedication to being a "house of prayer for all people", Gale reflects on the importance of peace in our time. Each piece of sterling silver jewelry is inscribed with the word Peach, written in three languages: Arabic, English and Hebrew.
