Composition on fabric by Yod Yeam

Glenn Gale Gallery is the conception of owner Glenn Gale and his wife Cynthia. Glenn is a native New Yorker who became fascinated with the arts in his youth through frequent visits to Goldowski Gallery on Madison Avenue, which was owned by his uncle, Noah Goldowski. Noah developed an appreciation of modern art during frequent jaunts to the West Village in the 1930's, where he befriended artists such as Steinberg and Harnet. Goldowski began collecting the works of his friends as well as other painters whose work he admired. His collection expanded and Goldowski became a prominent dealer of minimalist painting to museums and private collectors in the 1960's and 70's in New York City.

Glenn Gale Gallery continues this family tradition of art appreciation and support by offering aspiring artists the opportunity to show their work in a beautiful gallery environment. The art gallery shares space with Cynthia's jewelry collections to create an alternative shopping environment for customers.

Current Exhibition

The Glenn Gale Gallery is currently exhibiting an exhibition of elephant artwork and fashion. When we say elephant artwork, we are talking about paintings actually done by elephants. Elephants can actually hold a brush in their trunk and paint on paper, canvas, and fabric. Original works, prints, tshirts, and garments will all be available for purchase during the exhibition. Proceeds from the sale of the items will go to provide for and help protect the elephants themselves. The artists all reside at rescue centers and elephant camps throughout SE Asia. Asian Elephants are currently endangered and desperately need our help. To find out more about the art and the Asian Elephant Art & Conservation Project, visit http://www.elephantart.com
